| Matchedash Camp is located on the edge of beautiful Georgian Bay. With a spot to park your camper and your boat for the season, you can enjoy fishing in the morning and a bike ride with the family on the Utoff Trail in the afternoon there is always something to do. Our sheltered waters provide outstanding canoeing and kayaking for all day long adventuring. If it’s a weekend getaway with your tent or Camper, there is sites with picnic tables and a fire pit to accommodate your weekend. We have a variety of Rustic fishing cabin sizes to choose from. Matchedash Camp is in the center of a Ramsar wetland in Simcoe County in Central Ontario, Canada. It is the "final inland extension of Severn Sound" on Lake Huron's Georgian Bay, and is "situated at the interface between the Saint Lawrence Lowlands and the Canadian Shield ". It exhibits geologically unique features at the junction of the Canadian Shield and southern Ontario limestone. Wetland habitats in Matchedash Bay are varied, and include swamps, fens, cattail marshes, wet meadows and beaver ponds. Other features include "permanent freshwater lakes; upland hardwood forest, agricultural lands, native grass meadows and a unique, coniferous wetland forest". |
